Walnut Creek Memorial Day Event
Monday, May 29th, 10:00 a.m., Civic Park
Plan to spend part of your Memorial Day in Walnut Creek for the City’s annual tribute to the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Mayor Silva will reflect upon the lives of Walnut Creek residents who were killed during the Korean war. Patriotic music will be provided by the Walnut Creek Concert Band.
The commemoration will end with a procession across the street to the Veterans Memorial outside of City Hall, and the playing of Taps and lowering the flags to half-staff.
