Happy Cinco de Mayo!

Cinco de Mayo is a holiday that commemorates the Mexican army's victory over the French at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. It is primarily celebrated in Mexico's Puebla state but it’s also a popular holiday in the United States, where it is often associated with Mexican-American culture and heritage. The day is marked with parades, parties, traditional Mexican food, and music, and serves as a symbol of Mexican pride and unity.

And tacos!

It’s a day to celebrate really great food and I want to share my favorite spot for Mexican food. And I invite you to share your favorite taco spots in the comments so I can try them all!

Our favorite Mexican restaurant, hands down, is La Tapatia in Concord. From the fresh chips to the sizzling fajitas, you simply can't go wrong.

Check out my handsome grandson enjoying a birthday dinner and dessert from La Tapatia. They make everyday a celebration.
