The Danville Parade
The Kiwanis-Danville Parade, which will take place from 9 a.m. to noon in downtown Danville is a true highlight. This year's theme is Celebrating Businesses of the San Ramon Valley. The Grand Marshal for 2024 is Marcia Harmon, owner of Cottage Jewel in Danville. This parade has been a staple of the community since 1975, drawing 30,000-40,000 spectators each year.
The parade is a fantastic opportunity for the community to come together, featuring floats, marching bands, local businesses, and various organizations, all celebrating the rich tapestry of the San Ramon Valley.
It's going to be hot this year. Please remember to bring water bottles, wear sunscreen and caps and be prepared for the heat.
