What Real Estate Agents Need from Clients

We talk a lot about what clients need from a real estate agent. Today, let’s turn the

tables and help potential clients learn to work more effortlessly with their agents to

enjoy a great outcome!

If you think about it, the top three things that agents want from clients are about the

same as the top three things that clients want from their agents! Here are my top

three:

Clear Communication

Clear communication is essential in any relationship, and this is especially true

when it comes to working with a real estate agent. Agents want clients who are clear about their needs, expectations, and goals. This helps them to narrow down their search and find properties that meet your specific criteria. Additionally, agents appreciate clients who are responsive and communicative throughout the process, as this helps to ensure that everything runs smoothly and that any issues can be addressed quickly. When I send a client an email or text, a prompt reply is greatly appreciated!

Commitment

Real estate transactions can be time-consuming and often require a significant

investment of time, energy, and money for all parties. As such, real estate agents

love clients who are truly committed to the process. This means being flexible with

times to attend property viewings, providing necessary documentation promptly,

and being available for discussions and negotiations as needed. Agents appreciate

clients who understand the importance of the process and are committed to

achieving their desired outcome.

Realistic Expectations

Real estate agents want clients who have realistic expectations about the buying or selling process. This means understanding the local market conditions, the property values in the area, and the time it takes to buy or sell a property. Unrealistic expectations can lead to disappointment and frustration for both the client and the agent. Agents appreciate clients who are willing to listen to their advice and trust their expertise, as this helps to create a collaborative and successful partnership.

Real estate agents also enjoy having a little fun! Clients with a sense of humor can

make a sometimes-stressful experience a lot easier. A little laughter can go a long

way!
